Toivomuskaivo ja huonekaluja - A wishing well and furniture

Lainamuksut teki viime visiitillä mm. hienot toivomuskaivot ja mä sain inspiksen. Tästä tuli tommonen yltiösöpö, sopinee Ginevran maalaisromanttiseen henkeen. Olin ajatellut katokseen päreitä tai laattoja, mutten voinut vastustaa tota boordia. Kuvasta tosin huomasin että pari saumaa repsottaa ikävästi, pakko korjata sitä vielä.

The kids made, among other things, lovely wishing wells on their last visit and I was inspired to try it myself. This ended up very frilly and romantic, I think it might be best suited for Ginevra Cottage. I had intended to make shingles or something for the roof, but I couldn't resist this wallpaper border. The pic brutally exposes some careless seams though, I have to fix those.

Materiaalina keraaminen pytty, sälematon osia, korunosia, pikkuämpäri, katoksen runko on sälekaihtimen osia sekä pahvia, joka on päällystetty boordilla ja kontaktimuovilla (tosin nyt mietin että ehkä pelkkä boordi ilman muovia ois ollu parempi) ja koristeleikkaukset kuviosaksilla leikattua pahvia, jonka väritin kultatussilla. Sivuissa vielä ääriviivatarrat.

The materials are a ceramic pot, pieces of a wooden mat, jewellery findings and chains, a tiny bucket. The roof is built on a base made from bits from wooden blinds, onto which I glued cardboard that I covered with wallpaper border which in turn is covered with adhesive plastic (although I now think perhaps it'd been better without the plastic) and the carved boarders are cut from cardboard and colored with a gold marker. I glued ornamental stickers to the sides.

Tuunasin Tiimarin kaapin ja tommosen pienemmän petsilakalla, kultatussilla ja ääriviivatarroilla. Petsaus näemmä ei ollu kovin tasanen ja nyt harmittaa etten vaihtanut Tiimarin kaapin ovinuppeja, mutta olkoon :D

I stained these plain wood cabinets and then added gold marker and stickers. The staining isn't as even as it could've been and now I regret not replacing the bigger cabinet's doorhandles. Ah well :D
