Kirpparikuume - Flea market fever

Annoin itselleni joululahjaksi kirpparikierroksen ja se olikin taas aika hedelmällinen reissu! Tuo kaappi taitaa mennä Hagridille jahka tuunaan sitä vähän. Yks ilahduttavimmista löydöistä on tuo haarniska - mä oon kaivannu sellasta pitkään ja nyt kävi vieläpä niin hyvin, että tuo on täydellisen kokoinen 1:12 nukkiksiin! Se on muovia muttei näytä siltä:

I gave myself a Christmas present, namely the permission to root around at the flea markets again and found some good stuff. The cupboard will most likely be Hagrid's. One of my favorite finds is the armor - I've wanted one for a long time and this is the perfect size for a 1:12 dollhouse! It's plastic but doesn't look like it:

I'll take the Christmas bells apart. The rodent abode was free and I think I'll turn it into some kind of animal shelter:

Tollasta luomivärisettiä oon kaivannut erilaisiin nukkistarkotuksiin ja nyt löyty sellanen, jossa on niihin sopiva värimaailma. Noi metallilautaset on kaiverrushommien opetteluun, puutikut nyt aina tulee tarpeeseen. Noi muovimosaiikit oli yks lempparilöytöjäni:

I've been on the look out for an eye shadow palette for coloring various dollhouse things and now found one with the shades I wanted. The metal trays are for practicing engraving, wooden dowels are always useful. The plastic mosaic bits were one of my favorite finds:

A new addition to my Potter collection, a Gryffindor Quidditch robe! I don't know what I'll do with it but my inner geek couldn't possibly leave it behind at 4 euros. Kid size, maybe I'll play dress up with the kids :D

Lahjoja ja löytöjä taas - Gifts and finds again

My mom and my goddaughter bought me this engraving tool earlier this year but I only just got it! Thank darlings <3 Mom also gave me some hand tools and crafts materials:

Ja piipahdin pikasesti pikkukirpparilla tekemässä materiaalilöytöjä - tuon joulukoristeen ostin noiden eriväristen lamppujen vuoksi:

And I did a quick pit stop at the local flea market and picked up some materials - the Christmas decoration for its colored bulbs:

Ostoksia ja lahjoja - Shopping and gifts

En ole muistanut esitellä näitä, ekan kuvan kamat Hämeenlinnan Askartelukaupasta (mukaanlukien tokan ja kolmannen kuvan kehykset, jotka sai ottaa ilmaseks), paitso lokerikko, joka on Tokmannilta. Ename´limaalia, erivärisiä rautalankoja ja metallinhohtoisia "Metallic Rub Ons) vahavärejä.

I've forgotten to show you these - the stuff in the first pic I got at the local craft shop (including the frames in pic 2 and three, which were free - hey I'm rhyming, look at me!). Enamel paint, wires in various colors and Metallic Rub Ons.

I think these guys were in a 2 euro bag of toys - it also contained a Phantom doll, which I gave my mom who's been a Phantom fan for decades:

Shoppailuterapiaa - Retail therapy

Viime aikoina on ollu vähän rankkaa ja mieli maassa - ihana Heli ja äiti järkkäs mut kirpparille käymään ja tosi huokeella irtosi iso kasa tavaraa - ja piristyinkin kaupan päälle :)

The going's been a little rough of late and today my lovely friend Heli and my mom arranged for some retail therapy at the local flea market and I found lots of stuff cheaply - and it raised my spirits :)

12 kirjaa kahdella eurolla, tommonen kiva lokerikko johon voi laittaa vielä paikkaansa etsiviä pikkuaskarteluja, posliiniset kyntteliköt joista tulee tulisijoja sekä vinttikoirapatsas:

12 books for 2 euros, a sighthound statue and two porcelain candle holders that will make excellent stoves. And a lovely little set of shelves that I can use to house small stuff that hasn't found the right spot in a dollhouse yet:

Satiininauha on äidiltä, moninaiset raamit ja vadit kirpparilta:

The satin ribbon is from mom, the rest from the flea market - brass dishes and lots of frames:

Potter-mania jatkuu - My Potter mania continues

Potter-kokoelmani on taas karttunut! Nämä aarteet sain lahjaks, tuhannet kiitokset!!! Suklaasammakkokortti, Potter-lautapeli ja pari kirjaa Pottereista - tietokirja sekä suomalaisen Potter-kääntäjän kertomus :)

My Potter collection has grown again! These treasures were a gift, thanks ever so much!!! A Chocolate Frog card, a Potter board game and two Potter books - one on the phenomena, the other the story of the Finnish Potter translators journey :)

Pitkästä aikaa pääsin kirpparille äidin kanssa ja saalis oli verrattain hyvä. Joskus kyllä hihityttää itseänikin kun kasaan sekalaiset seurakuntani tiskille :D

My mom took me to the flea markets and I got a pretty good haul. Sometimes I do chuckle to myself when I bang my bizarre odds and ends on the counter :D

Kirppiksiä koluamassa - Exploring the flea markets

Pääsin pitkästä aikaa koluamaan kirpputoreja. Saalis ei ollut valtava mutta jotain sentään löytyi askarteluun ja mukavaa oli :)

For the first time in quite a while I got the chance to check out the flea markets. No huge finds but I did find some stuff for dollhouse crafts and had a good time :)
